Mechanical Checks.
This includes but is not limited to an inspection of the engine and the engine bay. We check for smooth operation of all the major components such as the engine, gearbox, clutch and all associated components including the drive train. We look for leaks, smooth operation of all components and any noises that should not be there. Lastly with the owners consent we will undertake a test drive of the vehicle.
External Checks.
We will inspect the bodywork and underside of the vehicle, we will report any damage or corrosion that we feel is relevant, we will check the external lighting and related day to day items to ensure they function as intended.
Habitation Checks.We will undertake a full inspection of the habitation area, this will include damp tests, mould checks where accessible, check for signs of leaks, check for build quality, check functionality such as cookers, hobs, water, shower, toilet, extraction, fans, flooring condition and furniture condition.
Electrical Checks.
We will check that all electric components are safe where accessible, we will also test any onboard electrical systems to ensure they function as intended.
Gas Checks.
We will inspect and check any gas supply where fitted and accessible, this includes pipework, gas storage and regulators.
Security Checks.
We will perform a number of security checks on the vehicle including checking for cloned keys, cloned ECUs and a number of other checks that we do not disclose unless there is an obvious sign of a fraud or scam in hand. We will also undertake a full HPI which includes checks for any outstanding finance.
Service History and MOT Checks.
We will undertake various checks on the service history to ensure where possible it is genuine and not just a rubber stamp in a service book. We will also look into the MOT history and advise of any abnormalities if found.
Valuations.
We will provide a clear and unbiased valuation of the vehicle based upon our experience and knowledge base. Many vans are overly priced so a clear and fair valuation provides you with a bargaining tool.
Final Report.
Once the survey has been undertaken you will be provided with an email PDF report of our findings. This will include any works which need undertaking, state of the vehicle in general, our conclusions along with photos and a clear valuation. The final report is a very useful tool when buying a van, it provides great bargaining power along with ways on how you will save money.

We are able to undertake some basic power supply tests if the unit is not hooked up to a power supply.
Gas Checks.
We will inspect and check any gas supply where fitted and accessible, this includes pipework, gas storage and regulators.
Security Checks.
We will perform a number of security checks in relation to the ownership, for example we can cross reference a number of databases that will allow us to identify if the unit is stolen.
Ownership Audit.
We will undertake various checks to ensure an ownership audit trail where evidence is available, quite often a caravan can be traced back to its original owner quite easily.
Valuations.
We will provide a clear and unbiased valuation based upon our experience and knowledge base. Our valutations are always realistic and can often be used for insurance valuations.
Final Report.
